Surveying the polar regions

Our research focuses on the regions containing the major ice sheets in Antarctica and Greenland, as well as the Patagonian ice fields in South America. What logistical and organisational challenges must be overcome in order to carry out fieldwork in these areas? How can measurements taken on site be linked with satellite data? What equipment needs to be taken along? We provide answers to these and other questions.
