anvajo: Hands-On Microscopy

Participation is explicitly encouraged, and you are invited to dive into the microcosm: at two microscopes, you can observe various specimens live, such as epithelial cells, blood cells, yeast, and pond water. The images are transmitted to screens so that several visitors can simultaneously see what would otherwise remain invisible. Knowledgeable staff explain the structures and are available to answer questions.

anvajo: Diagnostics you can touch: cells, data and high-tech devices

At anvajo, visitors gain comprehensive insights into the world of modern medical technology, ranging from biological structures under the microscope to data-driven analysis methods and the development and manufacturing of complex diagnostic systems.

As part of the Long Night of Sciences, we demonstrate how cells, data, and engineering come together to create innovative solutions for medical diagnostics. This makes visible how closely research, software, hardware, and production are interconnected, and how interdisciplinary development leads to concrete applications in the laboratory.

In addition to technological insights, anvajo also offers a behind-the-scenes look at the company itself: including insights into our way of working, our teams, and the people behind the development.

The event is aimed at everyone who wants not only to understand modern medical technology, but to experience it directly: in a vivid, interactive, and multi-perspective way.

Experience diagnostics you can touch: At the Long Night of Sciences, anvajo showcases innovative analysis and microscopy systems for human and veterinary diagnostics as well as life science applications. Learn how light, AI, and digital microscopy enable fast, mobile, and decentralized diagnostics directly at the point of care and also gain insight into the inner workings of these high-tech devices.

How machines learn to see: AI in diagnostics

How does a device automatically detect cells and structures? Using real image data from urine diagnostics, we demonstrate how machine learning methods analyze and interpret medical images. Visitors gain insights into different analytical approaches and learn how precise diagnostic information is derived from image data.

Stem Cell Donor Registration with VKS

Together with VKS, Verein für Knochenmarkspende Sachsen, visitors will have the opportunity to register as potential stem cell donors. The campaign raises awareness about blood cancer, stem cell donation, and how simple donor registration can help save lives. At the same time, we provide insights into the importance of modern diagnostics and medical technologies in healthcare.
