Description

Friction generates heat – but it also determines energy consumption, wear and tear, and service life. In the ‘BioSlide’ research project, Fraunhofer IWS is investigating how sliding systems can be designed to be more sustainable and energy-efficient. Together with you, we test and measure materials and technical systems. We can see first-hand how different properties affect friction.
