Description

The station features an introductory presentation followed by several experiments, showing how these materials work in practice. The introductory presentations take place at scheduled times, while the room remains open for visitors to explore the individual experiments at their own pace.

Nanolithography and Atomic Force Microscopy at the Nanoscale: My Personal Nameplate

During a visit to the atomic force microscopy lab (AFM), you will gain insights into the principles and applications of AFM and experience a live demonstration of nanolithography. If you wish, your name can be written onto a small silicon substrate using nanolithography. You will receive this “nameplate” along with a printed image of the microscopic structure as a souvenir to take home (duration approx. 10 minutes).
