Description

This virtual journey makes visible what is otherwise too small for our eyes or hidden behind complex equipment.
Using VR goggles, we take a look at a material sample to examine its properties at an atomic level. To do this, the sample is placed in an ultra-high vacuum chamber to minimize interfering influences. The sample surface is examined using a scanning tunneling microscope. We are looking for unknown, unusual properties in order to discover new materials for the future.
