Guided exhibition tour: S+T+ARTS Ec(h)o Showing

What does art have to do with science and vice versa? The curators will guide you through the exhibition and present the three artistic positions of Johanna Bruckner, Carolyn Kirschner and Theda Nilsson-Eicke, who are completing thirteen-month research stays at the TUD as part of an artist residency. The works on show question the potentials and challenges of digital transformation and open up critical, speculative and analytical perspectives on the microscopic and macroscopic effects.

Description

The sculptures, films, videos and installations of the three artists could not be more different: Johanna Bruckner is a multimedia artist, Carolyn Kirschner comes from a design background and Theda Nilsson-Eicke is a theatre director with a focus on stage and costume design. However, they are united by an explicit urge to research and their artistic work revolves around making the present tangible in the context of society, science and politics and using artistic means to contribute concepts for the future.
