Description

The decarbonisation of process heat generation is an essential part of the targeted heat transition in Germany, Europe and around the world. The necessary temperatures above 100°C cannot be achieved with standard heat pumps. For this reason, a wide range of research and development work is being carried out in this field. A few years ago, the ILK successfully tested a test model in the lower output range. This motivated us to also develop such a system in the larger output range. In particular, the utilisation of essentially standard components should make the end product comparatively inexpensive. Within the KETEC project, the project partners Institute of Air Handling and Refrigeration Dresden, Fraunhofer Institute for Solar Energy Systems Freiburg and Chemnitz University of Technology, Chair of Technical Thermodynamics are researching and developing solutions and technologies for the energy, cooling and heating supply of tomorrow in a total of 13 sub-projects.
