Description

The exhibition **LICHTLINIEN** uses current projects from the Dresden region to show how radiation is measured, used, and shaped—from thermal images to material properties.

At interactive stations, visitors can experiment for themselves. In **(In)visible Selfies**, it becomes visible how infrared sensors can “see through” certain materials. **Spectral Objects** use polarized light to reveal hidden structures in everyday things. **Glowing Minerals** show how UV light makes stones glow—and what this reveals about their composition.

The exhibition also presents artistic works from a residency by the Dresden University of Fine Arts at the Helmholtz-Zentrum Dresden-Rossendorf, as well as a **camera obscura**. In these works, measurability and imagination, experiment and intuition come together. The result is a multilayered exploration of light as a physical phenomenon, a field of innovation, and a medium of perception and speculative knowledge.

The exhibition is aimed at everyone interested in science and is free of charge.
