In our test field, we show you the latest research results and you can find out how hydraulics and pneumatics work. You can see, for example, how oil flows through the inside of a hydraulic pump or operate a hydraulic excavator arm yourself.
You can also build your own hydraulic drive or play hydraulic pong on our test walls.

Description

The Chair of Fluid-Mechatronic Systems opens its test field and invites you to discover the test benches. We show experiments to watch and participate.

At our test walls you can build your own hydraulic drive. An automated excavator arm draws pictures on a whiteboard and a pneumatic gripper moves materials quickly and precisely. At our other test benches, we show the results of current research and explain how hydraulics and pneumatics work.

At our other hands-on stations, you can try out hydraulic and pneumatic drives and secure your place on the leaderboards.
