Osteosynthesis, Plaster cast and splinting

For the first time in the Central Emergency Department, practical instructions on the treatment of bone fractures are being given. If an X-ray reveals a bone fracture, the affected limb must be immobilised with a plaster cast. For this purpose, all common methods of plaster cast treatment are carried out and presented in the Central Emergency Department.
The surgical treatment of fractures is also presented at this station.

Presentation of the rescue and medical service of the Malteser Dresden

Emergency medicine in pre-hospital care is provided not only by colleagues working full-time for the ambulance service, but also by volunteers, who are deployed in particular for larger emergency situations with a large number of patients that can no longer be covered by the regular ambulance service.

In addition to an ambulance from the regular rescue service, a command vehicle, an ambulance for medical cover and a medical equipment vehicle are presented.
