Osteosynthesis, Plaster cast and splinting

Osteosynthesis – What is it? Let our surgeons show you how we screw bone fractures together, and then try it yourself. Using a power drill and a vise, you'll delve into the world of surgery and demonstrate your manual dexterity. Give it a try and come along!

Afterwards, the arm, of course, needs to be put in a cast after a bone fracture.

Experience firsthand, practical instruction on treating bone fractures and try applying a cast yourself!

Description

For the first time in the Central Emergency Department, practical instructions on the treatment of bone fractures are being given. If an X-ray reveals a bone fracture, the affected limb must be immobilised with a plaster cast. For this purpose, all common methods of plaster cast treatment are carried out and presented in the Central Emergency Department.
The surgical treatment of fractures is also presented at this station.
