Pastry Shop audiovisual – Flavor and Taste on Film: Sugar and Tradition – Dresden’s Sides
Can a film convey culinary pleasure? Using examples from the documentary “Sugar and Tradition – Dresden’s Sweet Side” (Adina Rieckmann, MDR 2026), this session will explore how a medium that relies solely on images and sound can convey taste and the perception of aroma.
The film’s director and food historians Prof. Dr. Josef Matzerath and Dr. Janosch Förster will analyze examples and then be available to answer questions.
