Potential hydrogen

Hydrogen is considered a key component for the success of the energy transition in Germany. Its storage can stabilise fluctuating energy from renewable sources. Low temperatures and high pressures are advantageous for storage density. The ILK Dresden has demonstrated the technical feasibility in its hydrogen laboratory in the range up to 1000 bar and down to -250 °C.
