We introduce the German Center for Astrophysics

Astrophysics is a high-tech science. New telescopes measure the messengers of the universe with the greatest precision. Huge amounts of data are created. The DZA will take on the emerging challenges in data processing, computing and technology development and thus exploit potential for science and society. The DZA is currently under construction and will create a large research center for around 1,000 employees at the locations in Görlitz and near Hoyerswerda.
