The research department of cardiac surgery illustrates also this year, why it is important to translate basic science topics to the clinic. What you can find at our booth:
- Model for surgical training – sternotomy and open heart surgical technique
- Preparation of heart, aortic valve and aorta tissue
- Presentation of scientific projects including model systems and stepwise approach
- Puzzle for children and adults – histological stainings are observed and have to be puzzled accordingly (if this is successful – there is a little prize)
- Simple 3D heart model including pumping function to illustrate heart physiology
