TUD iGEM Team – Our Team for the World’s Largest Synthetic Biology Competition

We are a student group participating in the world's largest synthetic biology competition: the International Genetically Engineered Machine (iGEM) competition.
Despite modern, multi-stage wastewater treatment, small amounts of problematic pollutants, such as microplastics or sex hormones, can be found in the treated water. We are developing a living and renewable filter based on diatoms that can help us remove these molecules from our water. Come by, listen to our ideas, and discuss!
