When wounds won't heal: How biomaterials support the healing process

Wound dressings with an innovative polymer coating offer a completely new approach to healing chronic skin wounds. Excessive inflammatory processes in wounds can be treated causally without the release of active substances by using a polymer coating as a "molecular sponge" to bind and neutralise pro-inflammatory signalling mediators. ResCure is working to transfer the therapeutic approach developed at the IPF into application.
