description

The Tiny-Haus Zivilschutz project demonstrates how well minimalistic design and maximum functionality go together in times of crisis.

In disaster situations, it is often necessary to provide a large number of functional emergency shelters. For the persons affected, the most important thing is to quickly have a roof over their heads. If their stay should last longer than expected, however, aspects of comfort, privacy and robustness will gain in importance.

Our tiny house ensures all the abovementioned aspects by following a modular approach. In addition, tried-and-tested technologies developed at Fraunhofer IVI have been implemented to guarantee comfort and sustainability. This means that the house can be used both as shelter for private individuals and as superordinate supply facility.
