description

Saxochild, a collaboration between TU Dresden and Leipzig University, is part of the new German Center for Child and Adolescent Health (DZKJ). The center aims to provide every child and adolescent with optimal medical care at every stage of development in line with the latest research. Over the next few years, various projects will be initiated here in Dresden that deal with pioneering medicine and advanced treatment methods.

In a short presentation, Prof. Dr. Christian Beste from the Cognitive Neurophysiology working group will give an overview of the DZKJ and present the “Neurofeedback@Home” project as an example. This project aims to provide adequate medical care for children and young people with AD(H)S or other concentration problems, particularly in rural areas of Saxony, where this cannot always be guaranteed without problems. Interested parties will then have the opportunity to try out neurofeedback at one of our stands in the MTZ (Building 91 of Dresden University Hospital).
