Open test field - Discover modern hydraulic and pneumatic drives

In our test field, we show current research results and you can learn how hydraulics and pneumatics work. For example, see how oil flows through the inside of a hydraulic pump and how an automated excavator arm draws pictures on a whiteboard.
You can also build your own hydraulic actuator on our experiment walls.

description

The Chair of Fluid-Mechatronic Systems opens its test field and invites you to discover the test benches. We show experiments to watch and participate.

At our test walls you can build your own hydraulic drive. An automated excavator arm draws pictures on a whiteboard and a pneumatic gripper moves materials quickly and precisely. At our other test benches, we show the results of current research and explain how hydraulics and pneumatics work.

At our other hands-on stations, you can try out hydraulic and pneumatic drives and secure your place on the leaderboards.
