The Map It Show - Radio Environment Mapping in Real-Time with Automated Guided Vehicles

Whether on the road or in your own four walls, everyday life without radio systems for wireless data transmission is unimaginable today. Have you ever wondered how a mobile radio device perceives its radio environment? In this interactive demonstration, you can operate a radio-controlled robot to collect spatial information about the radio channel and visualize it in the form of a radio environment map.

description

As part of this exhibition, we provide two remote-controlled, industrial transport vehicles with which you can compete against a contracting person in a playful way. The task is to collect more spatial data points of the radio channel in a given time and thus to color the initially empty radio environment map. Before or after your game, the exhibition staff will be happy to provide you with further information about the relevance of radio environment maps and other details of the exhibition.

The game is quite entertaining with one minute playing time and is therefore available throughout.
