Communications and Control in Multi-UAV Cooperative Flight

Communication technology significantly shapes our daily lives, not just through familiar activities like phone calls and internet surfing but also in applications involving dynamic systems. For instance, vehicles and drones heavily rely on the power of communication networks to enhance their perception of the surrounding environment and make better control decisions.

description

Communication technology significantly shapes our daily lives, not just through familiar activities like phone calls and internet surfing but also in applications involving dynamic systems. For instance, vehicles and drones heavily rely on the power of communication networks to enhance their perception of the surrounding environment and make better control decisions. In this demonstrator, we showcase how the quality of communication networks can influence the performance of control systems through a multi-UAV formation control scenario, allowing users to control a UAV using an Xbox controller. By varying the network parameters, users can experience different control performance levels.
